Personal Crisis and Sickness-Absence Counselling
We have developed effective techniques to assist long term sick or absent employees to
return to work. Sometimes the relationship between employee and employer has become too damaged
for this to be possible. In these cases we have been successful in helping to bring these
situations to a satisfactory conclusion for both parties.
Occasionally an employee's quality of work uncharacteristically deteriorates. This is often due to
some personal crisis in their lives which they are finding it difficult to cope with. We have, thus far,
been successful in assisting all clients entrusted to our care to return to (or exceed) their previous performance levels
usually within a maximum of four counselling appointments.
Post Robbery Incident Counselling
In 1988 Role Management was probably the first in the UK to provide post
trauma counselling support for bank and building society employees
involved in raid, robbery and hostage situations. This resulted in
contracts to support employees of banks, building societies and their customers
throughout the UK. This has grown to include employees in the retail sector following
robbery incidents as well as assaults on staff by customers.
Useful techniques have been developed to assist victims of violence to quick recovery
from the many unfortunate effects brought on via these nasty experiences. For example, we have been able
to help people to eliminate unwanted flashback memories of the incidents and uncontrollable
feelings of fear and insecurity, particularly when in crowded places, etc. Again, recovery is usually possible
within a maximum of four counselling appointments.
We have been able to reduce absence from work due to these incidents from weeks or months
to nil, or a few days at most.
